Can I Use a Support for an Injured Calf?

An injured calf can often benefit from a correctly fitted support or sleeve. The support can provide compression and therapeutic warmth to the injured area to aid the healing process. The following considerations should be taken into account.

Ensure the support or sleeve is correctly fitted and not too tight whilst still providing compression to help reduce swelling.

Ensure the duration of use is correct. Most supports are not suitable for continuous or overnight use.

Consultation with Healthcare Professional:

It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or physical therapist, before using a support. They can assess your condition, recommend the appropriate type of support, and provide guidance on how to use it effectively.
